Governor, safe-guarding responsibility, at Northenden Community School

Our Office Manager has been a Governor at Northenden Community School since 2005. Initially she was an elected Parent Governor, converting to a Co-opted Governor in 2017. She is also the Safeguarding Governor. The school has on roll approximately 235 pupils (from Early Years to KS2). She attends full Governing Body and additional sub-committee meetings on a termly basis, which last around 2-2 1/2 hours. In addition she attends ad hoc training sessions which usually last around 2 hours. She also carries out supplementary work contributing towards to the writing, development and proof-reading of school policies and procedures. As part of her role, she is part of the Headteacher's Performance Management committee, has served on complaints panels and has also been part of a successful OfSTED inspection.
