The educational and leadership expertise and experience of the member of staff is crucial to the success of the role in having positive impact on outcomes for children.

Resources
Charterhouse releases staff to enable them to fulfil their duties as governors during term-time, as needed.
One member of teaching staff is involved as Chair of Governors. This is a role that requires ongoing contact and support with the Head of the School.
It is a voluntary arrangement, requiring a minimum of 20-30 hours a year.
Impact
The impact of governance is assessed via inspection outcomes for schools which occur approximately every three years. The school was last inspected in 2017.
