The Manchester Grammar School provides lab space and equipment for training and meetings of The Manchester Beekeepers.

Aims

The aim of the partnership is to provide lab space and equipment for The Manchester Beekeepers meetings and training.

Background

The partnership was set up by Peter Bowen-Walker, former Head of Biology at The Manchester Grammar School, and John Charlton, Head of The Manchester Beekeepers.

Resources

Meetings take place in the Biology Department on Saturdays during the first two school terms.

Senior Biology Technician, Alex Graham, and MGS Head of Biology, John Blair, facilitate in liaison with John Charlton.

Pupil Involvement

Boys cannot attend unless a member of MGS staff is present.

Frequency

Seven or eight Saturdays during the first two terms of the school year.
