The Birches School

Boys from The Manchester Grammar School support children at The Birches School with special educational needs (often very severe) and gardening.

Background

The project has been running for 25 years since the Birches School is very close to The Manchester Grammar School.

Impact

Approximately 10 pupils in Year 12 take part.

Pupil Involvement

Volunteering takes place two terms a year, 10 sessions a term, which last 45 minutes each.
