Community Action with Medlock Primary School

Boys from The Manchester Grammar School support children from Medlock Primary School with their reading and maths skills.

Aims

The aim is for pupils from The Manchester Grammar School to support children from Reception to Year 6 at Medlock Primary School with their reading and maths skills.

Background

The partnership was set up as part of MGS's Community Action programme.

Resources

Boys are transported by staff, in a mini-bus, to the primary school.

Pupil Involvement

Four Year 9 boys, and two Year 10 boys, take part.

Frequency

The boys volunteer for one hour, once a week during term time.
