Boys from The Manchester Grammar School support children at New Islington Free School with their reading and maths skills.

Aims

The aim is for boys from The Manchester Grammar School to support children at New Islington Free School, in Reception through to Year 6, with their reading and maths skills.

Background

The partnership was set up as part of MGS's Community Action programme.

Resources

Boys are transported to New Islington Free School by staff in a mini-bus.

Pupil Involvement

Eight Year 11 boys take part.

Frequency

Volunteering lasts for one hour, weekly during term time.
