This partnership provides access to a poet and allows pupils to develop creative writing skills and enjoyment of poetry amongst sixth-form pupils and staff.

Background

The partnership was initiated by a former member of staff from The Manchester Grammar School as an extension of the Year 8 poetry workshops and the number and type of schools invited regularly extends.

Resources

Workshops take place at The Paton Library at The Manchester Grammar School.

Impact

Up to 25 sixth-formers from The Manchester Grammar School take part.

Frequency

Once a year - workshops typically last an hour-and-a-half.
