Community Action with Heald Place Primary School

Boys from The Manchester Grammar School volunteer at Heald Place Primary School to mentor and teach their pupils. 

Aims

The primary aim is for The Manchester Grammar School to build links with Heald Place Primary School, and allow MGS boys to engage in mentoring and teaching the primary school children, engaging the imaginations and aspirations of the children who may be from disadvantaged backgrounds.

Resources

Teaching takes place at Heald Place Primary School, facilitated by MGS teachers.

Pupil Involvement

Boys from Year 10, and sometimes Year 11, take part. Numbers vary but it is usually 12 boys.

Frequency

Weekly, during term term, all year round.
