Regular invitations to join our Cultural Speakers' programme

Every half term our Cultural Society invites speakers to deliver an hour long lecture to our students.  Previous speakers include politicians, writers, poets, filmmakers and a holocaust survivor.  Oxted sixth formers are invited to join our evening events. 

Aims

The aim of this partnership is to share enrichment opportunities which is measured by how many students take up our offer.

Background

The project began after Woldingham's Head of Sixth Form contacted local state schools to offer this opportunity.  Of six schools contacted, two schools accepted.

Resources

Organised and financed by Woldingham School the  lectures are held in the school's auditorium.

Pupil Involvement

15 sixth formers from Oxted attended the first lecture.
