Robert Nelson talk on STEAM

A careers talk about Ultra Electronics Precision Control Systems, Cambridge and their work with control systems for aircraft, including work done in the past for Concorde.

Aims

To promote Science Technology Engineering Arts and Maths (STEAM) careers within our own STEAM group and also with our two partner schools.  

Background

Our Careers staff member organised the link with Robert Nelson and we decided to offer it to our local secondary school and our partner sixth form.  

Resources

The organisation of our staff member and the availability of a venue.  

Impact

The feedback from the event was positive from all who came.  

Pupil Involvement

Students in our STEAM club, who are in years 7-11 and then girls from year 11 at WSFG and sixth formers from LAE.  

Frequency

Single event but part of our ongoing aim to invite partner schools to events when we have capacity and capability.
