Performing Arts Summer School

Each year we run a performing arts summer school which external students can attend.  This year we offered 6 free places for children in need to our local secondary schools.  

Aims

To learn and perform in a dance and musical performance.  

Background

The Head of Dance spoke to the Director of Outreach and they discussed how we could open the opportunity to children in need and the Director of Outreach spoke to Safeguarding leads at the partnership schools who identified appropriate students to participate.

Impact

The students had a great experience and some fabulous new dancers were idenitified.  

Pupil Involvement

Students from yerar 7-11 were able to come although the whole summer school was popen to all ages from reception up.  

Frequency

The Performing Arts School runs in our Easter and Summer holidays and we will offer places on an annual basis.
