'Nǐ hǎo! péng yǒu' (Hello! Friends in Mandarin)
The project has an aim of increasing the exposure of Chinese culture to the Forest Prep School pupils.
Aims
It is an on-going school outreach project which aims at increasing exposure of Chinese culture to the Forest Prep School pupils. Through the exchange of letters, art and craft and videos with the partner schools (Generations Christian Education) pupils are able to know more about Chinese culture and increase their opportunity in practicing Mandarin.
Background
It was discussed and approved by the Senior Deputy Head of Forest Prep School and the project will start from Lent Term
Resources
The project is initiated by the Prep school Mandarin teacher and is under the supervision of the Deputy Head of prep school. There will be a small amount of international postal cost require for sending pupils' Chinese work to Hong Kong. It will be an ongoing project which will last untill the end of this school year.
Impact
Chinese works such as Chinese New Year arts and crafts will be displayed on the Mandarin Subject board. We are aiming at using Mandarin to communicate to the partner school on the other side of the world.
