Solar Car Presentation for STEM week

An interactive presentation of the Solar Car Project during partner school's STEM week.

Aims

To learn about the Solar Car project and how solar cars are built.

To engage the children in science and in a real life application of it.

To enthuse children in something based outside the classroom environment.

Background

A member of staff at Ardingly College has children at the partner school and approached the Solar Car team to advise them of the upcoming STEM week and ask if they would be happy to be involved.

Impact

The children were fully engaged, asked many questions and gave positive feedback as they explored the car.

Science Lead would like to keep in contact and is very keen to have the STEM bus visit in the future.

Staff member reported, "I know my daughter and her peers in year 6 enjoyed it greatly!"
