Big Issues Club
An opportunity for children from YR5 and YR6 from both St. Peter’s Primary and Ardingly Prep to discuss big issues alongside each other.
Aims
To enable students to discuss the important issues that affect all of us.
To provide an opportunity for students to engage with students from another school setting.
Background
The Chaplain and the Head of Prep visited St Peter's School on another matter but in conversation the idea of older KS2 students from both schools meeting to discuss big issues was suggested and the Chaplain offered to trial it.
Resources
Available classroom.
Juice/biscuits.
Parents willing to drop & collect children from College.
Impact
School keen to engage in other partnerships.
Children excited at prospect of next session.
Children actively engaged in making small differences outside of the classroom to tackle big issues discussed.
An anticipated outcomes:
Increase in numbers next time club is offered.
Frequency
The club meets each Wednesday 4:30pm until 5:15pm in Lent term at Ardingly College.
