Woodlands School partnership

Woodlands Primary School in Edgware is a primary maintained school that caters for pupils aged 3 to 11 years with a range of complex and profound learning difficulties. These include severe autism, physical and mobility difficulties, and severe developmental delay. A group of ten boys visit the school weekly during the project cycle to support learning and play activities, as well as enabling the children to access the local community.

The time spent outside the classroom, for example taking walks to the park and helping children to make use of the apparatus, has helped to improve the children’s motor co-ordination. These outings are made possible by the presence of the boys as they provide the one-to-one support that is so essential.

The boys also fundraise for Woodlands every year.
