Primary Science Quality Mark

The Primary Science Quality Mark involves Ms Farrer delivering 9 CPD sessions to the group during the year. Each school completes a series of activities and completes a self assessment, action plan, log and online portfolio of evidence of impact. Ms Farrer provides feedback on these documents for each school and carries out online mentoring. On successful completion of all of these tasks, and after an external review, the school is awarded their Primary Science Quality Mark which they retain for 3 years.

Aims

The aims of this project is to raise the profile of science in primary schools, to provide schools with a framework and professional support for developing science leadership, teaching and learning, to celebrate excellence in primary science, and to work with existing and facilitate new networks to provide local support for primary science.
