Primary German teaching

Our German linguist pupils and staff attend a local Primary school each week over a term. They support and deliver German language-learning to 60 pupils in Years 3 and 4. 

Aims

To assist the primary school in their language provision, to inspire and enthuse children in learning a language, and to develop King's students too. 

Continuity of lessons and the chance to teach about grammar, language and life abroad are all vital. 

Background

Developed through our ongoing close working relationship with St John's, our local primary school. MFL support has been running for several years.

Resources

The teaching takes place on the St John's site, with two teachers (subject experts) and pupil linguists. 

There is no charge for this. 

Pupil Involvement

Year 3 and Year 4 pupils.

Frequency

Weekly for one term.
