The Galfrid School - Year 11 Classroom Assistant Programme

26 Year 11 students travel to The Galfrid and assist in classrooms on Wednesday afternoons.

Perse pupils act as in-class assistants on a voluntary basis, becoming mentors and role-modelling behaviours and attitudes to learning that fit the values The Galfrid would like to promote. Some pupils also helped catalogue the re-organised library at The Galfrid.

Background

Discussion between Chair of Governors, Head and Senco at The Galfrid from which a proposal was agreed with Assistant Head at The Perse.

Resources

Fortnightly visits from students who are accompanied by teaching staff.
