Digistart

Digistart is an initiative from The Perse that invites local pensioners to the school for basic tutorials and one to one support from IT staff and experienced students.

Perse pupils offer 1:1 sessions with pensioners  to help them learn about how to get the most of technology they may feel very nervous about using, but which might have huge impact on their lives. During the first session pupils talk about what the pensioner would most like help with, whether it be writing letters, using Skype, using a mobile phone or ordering shopping online. Perse pupils then put together an individually tailored plan for the pensioner they are paired with. Pupils are also working on creating a document with top tips to handout to pensioners who attend.
