Chess Club

A group of Sixth Form pupils from MCS go to the school to teach the children to play chess including help with the tactical logic of the game.

Aims

Create a stronger link between the schools; teach children a new skill and improve logic skills; develop the skills of the sixth formers leading the club.

Background

Came about through outreach programmes as part of MCS's Community Service Organisation.

Assessment at the end of the year through written feedback.

Pupils are aged between 7 and 11 of all genders.
