Young Enterprise Hosting Events

Walthamstow Hall hosts many local state secondary schools at Young Enterprise Events. No charge is made for the venue hire or refreshments, this keeps costs down for Young Enterprise and helps schools from the maintained sector to be able to participate.

Aims

The Young Enterprise Scheme encourages entrepreneurship and teaches fundamental business and life skills to Senior School students. The costs of participation are reduced by schools providing facilities for events for no charge. Lowering costs in this way can make the difference between a school participating or not participating in the scheme.

Background

The opportunity to hosts events was identified by Walthamstow Hall's Young Enterprise co-ordinator who has led the scheme at Walthamstow Hall for a considerable time.

Resources

Young Enterprise events are hosted in the Walthamstow Hall main hall and hub reception area.

Impact

Lowering costs in this way can make the difference between a school participating or not participating in the scheme.

Pupil Involvement

Year 12 Walthamstow Hall pupils act as hosts to their fellow competitors at these events.

Frequency

Walthamstow Hall is a regular host of the competition, providing a venue for events every few years.
