Christmas Carols in the Park

Providing festive music for a community event at Newcastle Circus in Nottingham. 

Aims

To provide music for a Christmas event at Newcastle Circus in Nottingham, to contribute to the festive celebrations of the local community. 

Background

The organiser from the Community Group contacted the school's Music Department for a brass band (initially) to provide carols for their Christmas event.

Resources

The music provision was led by the Co-Head of Instrumental Studies and Brass.

The community group offered a small financial contribution to the music department.

Impact

We received positive feedback from members of the community at the time, and the students who participated.

Pupil Involvement

It involved approximately 12 students from Years 8-13, and a mix of male and female students.

Frequency

One-off, but may happen again in future years.
