Language and Science Immersion Days

When exam classes go on study leave in advance of their GCSE and A-Level exams, groups of local primary school pupils are invited to UCS to experience either a morning of taster lessons in either science or modern languages taught by UCS staff. Ten of these events were run in 2018-19, meaning 350 primary pupils enjoyed a taste of Science or a Modern Language new to them (either Italian, German, Spanish or Mandarin) at UCS.

Resources

Lessons are taught in UCS languages classrooms and IT rooms.

UCS languages teachers prepare and teach these lessons.
