Catch a wave music show
Monkton pupils created their own fun music-based show to teach primary age pupils about the basic science of sound material for Years 3 and 4.
This was first performed to the entire Year 3 and 4 at Combe Down Primary school and will be performed at other local primary schools in the coming months.
Aims
To both entertain and teach year 3 and 4 pupils about the science of sound.
For our pupils, they created their own show, worked as a team and gained confidence in performing.
Background
Our Director of Performing Arts, organised the show and spoke to Head of Partnerships, about the opportunity. Local Primary schools were then contacted.
We have worked with Combe Down for years as our closest local primary.

The performance was at Combe Down Primary but Monkton took all props.
Teaching staff were included.
