The Maynard and Exeter Chiefs - Rugby Masterclass & Festival for Girls

Girls in Year 8 from schools across the South of Devon and from as far as Somerset were invited to take part in our annual Maynard's and Exeter Chiefs' rugby masterclass and festival, with over 100 girls attending.

The training sessions were run by Exeter Chief players and community coaches. Culminating with competitive games and prize giving. The event is organised by the sports department at The Maynard School.

 

Aims

To give girls across the region the chance to experience playing rugby, mixing with other schools and learning new skills.

Pupil Involvement

120 girls from across 10 schools took part.

All in year 8.
