St Luke's Teacher Training Programme

We have a strong partnership with St Luke's teacher training college, where their trainee teachers spend a term at The Maynard School, putting into practice what they have learnt on the taught course.

 

Aims

To provide work experience for trainee teachers and to build a relationship with the University of Exeter.

Background

We have a strong relationship with the University of Exeter and have been in this partnership for a number of years.

Resources

Trainee teachers join the staff team at The Maynard School and work for a term shadowing teachers and teaching students.

Impact

Feedback from trainee teachers and the University of Exeter. Quality of training received and overall experience.

Pupil Involvement

All pupils may be taught by teachers in this scheme.
