Gifted and Talented sessions for local Primary Schools

We invite Year 5/6 girls from local Primary Schools to Gifted & Talented coding workshops. In the most recent event, the students learnt how to code with Python and investigated App technology.

Aims

To offer the use of our teaching and resources to local primary schools as part of their gifted and talented programme and to build relationships with these schools. 

Background

We wanted to share our teaching and started with a series of coding workshops, this opportunity was identified by our Head of Computing at the time. 

Resources

Use of school computer rooms and specialist teaching staff.

Workshops lasting half a day.
