Summer Concert 2024

The RHS Chapel Choir, alongside Holbrook Choral Society and Reade Chamber Orchestra, performed in Chapel for the annual Summer Concert.   

The concert featured RHS Patron of Music John Rutter’s "Feel the Spirit" and Vaughan Williams’ "Five Mystical Songs", with mezzo-soprano Kate Symonds-Joy and baritone Johnny Herford joining us as guest soloists.  

The audience was amazed by the performances of these two choral masterpieces, beautifully brought to life by our combined choirs and accompanied by an orchestra of professional musicians. It was a particular delight to welcome Sir John Rutter to the concert, and we are grateful to him for making time to speak with the choristers and sign copies of their music during the interval. 

Special highlights included Bethany L's stunning performance of Mozart’s "Piano Concerto in A Major" and soprano Mathilda K's beautiful rendition of Mozart’s recitative and aria "Basata, vincesti... Ah, non lasciarmi".
