RHS Careers Fair

On Wednesday 22 January the assembly hall was filled with pupils from Years 10 to 13 exploring the diverse world of careers at the RHS Careers Fair 2025. Back with full force, the Careers Fair brings together an eclectic mix of industries, employers and higher education providers to inspire our pupils and help them explore their futures.

From the Armed Forces to performing arts, from cutting-edge technology in the automotive sector to the intricate world of law, this year’s fair showcased over 45 exhibitors. Whether pupils were already set on their dream job or still searching for inspiration, the fair offered guidance, opportunities and unexpected career paths to explore.

Aims

From understanding the pathways to becoming a barrister to learning about creative roles in the construction industry, the fair encouraged pupils to look beyond traditional ideas of careers and consider where their passions could lead them. By connecting with employers, training providers and higher education institutions, our pupils are better equipped to navigate their next steps.

Resources

The day wasn’t just about stalls and handouts; it was a multi-dimensional event carefully planned to give our pupils the most comprehensive insight into the world beyond school. Our inspirational keynote speaker was entrepreneur and former The Apprentice finalist Claire Young. Claire shared her personal journey, from her time on the show to building successful businesses, emphasising resilience, creativity and the importance of embracing challenges.

Impact

We invited Careers Leads from four local state schools, to come along and see the type of Careers provision given to our pupils.

Pupil Involvement

Amongst the exhibitors were alumni who represented a range of industries and generously shared their experiences with our pupils.  A huge thank you to our amazing alumni for coming back and giving up their time to help inspire the next generation - we really appreciate your support!
