Centennial Art Exhibition
We hosted our much-anticipated Centennial Art Exhibition and Auction, which saw the RHS Art Block exhibition space filled with creativity. This incredible event brought together artwork from across the RHS community, including alumni, parents, pupils, staff and talented local and international artists.
From the moment guests stepped into the exhibition, they were surrounded by a diverse collection of pieces, each with its own story to tell. The space was alive with conversation as people admired the works on display and connecting over a shared love of art.
Resources
The event was held in the school Art and Design Exhibition space.
It included notable artwork donations from Jack Russell MBE and Helen Wagland, previous winner of the Anna Airy Award.
Impact
The Centennial Art Exhibition was a true celebration of creativity and community spirit, made possible by the generosity and support of everyone involved. The funds raised from the exhibition will go towards our Centennial Bursary Campaign, which aims to Launch 100 Lives through bursaries. By supporting the Centennial Art Exhibition, our community is helping to ensure that future generations can benefit from the opportunities that define RHS.
We raised £7,895 at the Centennial Art Exhibition and Auction. We’re so thankful to all those who contributed, whether by donating artwork, attending the event or placing bids in the auction.
Pupil Involvement
Members of the local community, parents, alumni and some Year 9, Year 11, Year 12 and Year 13 pupils who donated artwork also attended.
Frequency
Single, one-off event but we may hold another one in a few years time, due to its success.
