Mathematics Challenge

On 7th March children from Years 2-6 from St Joseph's In The Park were joined by children from St Andrews CofE Primary School and Albury CofE Primary school to take part in a mathematics challenge.

Aims

To develop links with local primary schools fostering academic, sporting and creative excellence.

Background

Our Head teacher was keen for the Partnership Lead to develop links with local schools.

Resources

The School Dining Room was used for this event with refreshments available to staff and pupils - meeting any/all dietary requirements.

Teaching and support staff 4 staff in total for 2 hours.

No costs to visiting schools.

Impact

We anticipate the further development of these relationships supporting the enjoyment furtherance of mathematics excellence.

Pupil Involvement

27 children from Year 2 - Year 6.

Mixed gender.

 

Frequency

This was the first mathematics event to be followed  by termly (and then hopefully) half termly events.
