Celtic Harmony Camp

We provided transport to and from Celtic Harmony Camp for the Year 1 children from Hertingfordbury Cowper CE School.

Aims

As part of our ongoing partnership with local primary schools Hertingfordbury Cowper asked SJITP to provide transport for their Year 1 classes to undertake a trip to the Celtic Harmony Camp in Bayfordbury.

Without the transport provided the children would have been unable due to costs to attend this trip.

The children from Year 1 were the beneficiaries.

Background

This partnership with local schools has been going for in excess of 10 years. The administration team contact the partnership lead and / or the school secretary from St Joseph's in the Park with requests for support.

Resources

Two minibuses and qualified drivers - both teaching and non-teaching staff were involved in delivering the transport requirements. No financial contribution was requested or received.

Impact

Anecdotal evidence from staff and children at Hertingfordbury Cowper acknowledged the benefit and enjoyment of the trip and noting in wouldn't have happened without SJITP support. 

Pupil Involvement

24 Year 1 children mixed gender children with adult support were involved in this event.
