Thumbs Up Club
RBCS are partnering with the 'Thumbs Up Club' to help raise funds to support their holiday club for children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).
Aims
The aim of the partnership is to raise funds for the Thumbs Up Club which is the working name for Activity Club for Children with Special Needs (Berkshire). This charity provides full day holiday club for children with special needs in the Wokingham, Reading, Bracknell, Windsor and Ascot areas. The club relies entirely upon voluntary donations, grants and parent subscriptions.
Background
The need was highlighted by a member of staff at the school who has contact with the trustees of the charity.
Resources
The Enterprise Initiative at the school arranges a number of fayres throughout the year with profits going the the Aldworth Partnership. Pupils and teaching staff at the school are involved with the Enterprise Initiative through activity lessons.

They also provide respite for parents who may need to continue working during the school holidays and respite for parents to allow them to spend time with their other children doing activities they would not otherwise be able to do.
Pupil Involvement
The whole school community are invited to take part in fundraising events.
Frequency
