Daisy's Dream Appeal

Reading Blue Coat pupils and staff took part in the annual Christmas jumper day to help raise money for Daisy's Dream - a local charity providing intensive 1:1 sessions to young people who are struggling and need help to process their grief.

Aims

The aim of this activity was to raise funds for Daisy's Dream. This is a Reading-based charity providing essential support for children and young people affected by bereavement.

Background

Daisy's Dream reached out to Reading Blue Coat School to organise this event. Promotion was undertaken by the Aldworth Partnership prefects.

Resources

The success of the event depended on promotion using RBCS social media and the teachers in the school. The event was timed to coincide with the annual school Christmas dinner.

Impact

Reading Blue Coat pupils and staff along with other schools in the area helped to raise £1700 for Daisy's Dream.
