Easter egg appeal for The Cowshed charity

RBCS partnered with local Reading charity The Cowshed as part of their Easter Egg appeal. 

Aims

The Cowshed works with families in crisis in the Reading area. We decided to help them with their annual Easter Egg appeal to provide Easter gifts to those who would be unlikely to receive them. 

Background

RBCS have an ongoing partnership with The Cowshed and regularly help out with specific appeals for items.

Resources

Communication was the key to the success of the project with communication through our weekly newsletter to parents, announcements at assemblies, social media posts and advertising around the school.

Impact

We’re delighted to share this message from The Cowshed team:
“Thank you so much for dropping off the Easter Egg donations! They will be very well received by our families. Please pass our thanks and gratitude on to everyone who contributed.” This year, pupils and parents contributed 246 Easter eggs for redistribution to the local community.

This is an annual event that is always well supported by the RBCS community.
