Sports Masterclass

Providing a day full of high level sport, the Ashford School Sports Masterclasses provide keen and talented students from years 4-6 an opportunity to experience both new and familiar sports and high level coaching workshops. 

Aims

Provide access to high level sporting experience to keen and talented local children. 

 

Background

Primary sport and PE curriculum's, can be restrictive and therefore an opportunity to provide access to a wider variety of sports was desired. 

Resources

Ashford School hosts, and provides the expert coaches to lead the sessions, but local schools have the autonomy to select the pupils they feel will most benefit from the day.

Twelve schools were involved, sending up to four pupils each.
