Ashford Family Foodbank and FareShare

A partnership with a local charity which includes formal donations and pupil volunteering. 

Aims

Support a local charity (Ashford Family Foodbank) which has seen increased demand because of the economic crisis.

Provide Ashford School students valuable opportunities to support the local community.

Background

Demand on our local Foodbank has now increased beyond the Covid-19 pandemic because of the economic crisis. 

Resources

This is an ongoing partnership which continues to develop year on year. 

Assemblies are given by members of the charity and the school's chaplain to keep the school community aware. 

Through the DoE programme Ashford School students are able to volunteer with the Ashford Foodbank with some returning after the completion of this award.
