Links with local education providers
To give students the opportunity to do a range of activities provided by local companies and coaches.
Aims
These opportunities are within curriculum time and also after school clubs. Supporting the local community by sources companies and coaches from the area by increasing awareness and participation.
Background
Holme Grange offers an extensive amount of clubs. We support the local community by hiring in specialised coaches and artist to run some of these sessions.
External clubs include; Pottery, Glass Art, Berkshire Elite Football Club, Archery, multiple Dance companies, East Berkshire Golf Club, Equestrian, Yoga, Climbing, Trampolining and Tennis.
Winter Camps have been organised with the Lions Academy and Berkshire Netball to run some intensive pre season camps in January. Supporting local businesses.
A partnership with Premier Education to run some taster Sports sessions in January and set up new clubs for the Summer term.
Teaming up with Camberley Rugby club to run some curriculum Rugby sessions across 6 weeks (February).

Impact
Students have been given the opportunity to try new activities and sports, inspiring them to push themselves outside their comfort zones.
Street Dance Crew performed their Dances in the end of term assembly to Year 1 - 8. This is something students hadn’t done before.
Year 3, 5 and 6 students took part in inspiring sessions with the Lions on the 9th December, ready for their pre season training in January.
