Howell’s hosts the Welsh heat of the Kids’ Lit Quiz.

Aims

The aim is to instil a love of reading and literature in secondary school students. 

Background

Howell’s hosts the Welsh heat of the Kids’ Lit Quiz, welcoming Quizmaster Wayne Mills from New Zealand and 26 teams from Welsh schools to compete for the title of Welsh Regional Heat winner.

Resources

Refreshments, venue (the Sports Hall), stationery, three members of Howell’s staff.

Impact

The quiz challenged children’s knowledge of authors, poets and all things book related!

Pupil Involvement

Approximately 100 local secondary school children benefit from the event annually.

Frequency

It is an annual event and lasts for approximately three hours.
