The Business Challenge
This is an event that takes place annually at Abingdon School involving teams of pupils from local primary schools including Long Furlong, Long Wittenham, Sunningwell, Marcham and Caldecott Primary School. Pupils are given a brief to create a new product, eg. a new health drink. They work in a group with sixth form helpers to develop, market and advertise their product. At the end of the day they present their ideas to a panel of judges and a cup is awarded for the best product, the best logo and the best pitch.
To encourage primary school pupils’ to enjoy and think about working in business.
The project was started in 2015 and is run in conjunction with Abingdon School’s Economics and Business department.
