State school partnership weekly academic enrichment activities

Barton Farm Primary School

We run a number of partnership activities with Barton Farm Primary School. Pupils and staff from St Swithun's visit All Saints for weekly enrichment sessions to deliver one-to-one reading support. c

The aim is to enhance the reading abilities and comprehension for pupils at Barton Farm through weekly enrichment sessions and it is designed to complement and enrich the curriculum teaching already in place at the school.

A qualitative survey is undertaken at the start and end of each term to assess the attitudinal change of Barton Farm towards reading, and their progress is also monitored for every pupil against their individual reading scheme.

30 pupils from Barton Farm benefit from this partnership activity per week during term-time activity.
