Sharing good practice in preparation for GCSE English course

Staff from Astley Cooper School visited Abbot’s Hill School as part of their INSET. The focus was to discuss exam boards used in Year 10 and how relevant skills were taught to pupils in preparation for the examinations in 2017. How pupils at AHS are prepared in KS3 for their GCSE course was also discussed. Ideas were exchanged between the staff at both schools.

 

Aims

To discuss strategies and observe lessons to better inform practise and improve exam results;
To create links with professionals in the community and share good practice.
