MRATHS (Malvern Radar and Technology History Society)

For the past 4 years we have been working to support MRATHS. We continue to host a display showing the various technologies developed at Malvern College during WWII and within Malvern since the war and MRATHS have continued to use our lecture theatre and science centre for their meetings. In October, two of MRATHS scientific experts gave a highly informative demonstration lecture on infra-red at the Physics Olympics event which local state schools were invited to and which our own pupils attended.

Aims

To help celebrate and inform the local  community of the extraordinary history of science and technology in Malvern, particularly the advances in radar developed at  Malvern College, from 1942 onwards.

Impact

We have helped MRATHS preserve and extend research into the history of key radar and technological developments in Malvern and widen the local community’s awareness and understanding of its significance.
