Malvern School hosted a Pastoral Conference on Mental Health and Wellbeing.

Aims

To share good practice in mental health and wellbeing with local schools.

Talk from the Anna Freud National Centre for Children and Families: What is mental health and can it be taught?

To establish a consortium of local schools that can share good practice on pastoral care.

Morning: talks from staff and pupils from Malvern College.

Keynote talk from the Anna Freud Centre

Afternoon: workshops to share good practice between schools.

Impact

Sharing good practice amongst teachers and pupils in mental health and wellbeing amongst local schools

Each school brought 1 teacher and 2 pupils to attend talks and workshops on mental health and student well-being during the day.

8 state schools and 6 independent schools attended:

The Chase School, Dyson Perrins, Hanley Castle High School, John Masefield High School, Pershore High School, The Chantry School, Bishop of Hereford Blue Coats, Tewkesbury School, Cheltenham College, RGS Worcester, King’s School Worcester, St Edward’s Cheltenham, Hereford Cathedral School, Bredon School.
