Initial teacher training

Malvern College supports both Initial Teacher Training and Professional Development for Newly Qualified Teachers. This is achieved through it’s association with the University of Buckingham and the Independent Schools Teacher Induction Panel (IStip).

Our Professional Teaching and Learning Mentor is a Mentor and Tutor for the University of Buckingham and an Induction Tutor for IStip.

Aims

To support the training of graduates to become qualified teachers and help with their ongoing professional development and retention within the teaching profession.

Impact

Malvern College has worked solely with the University of Buckingham since 2010 having previously worked with the University of Worcester.

Since the start of the partnership Malvern has trained over 20 teachers on either the PGCE (QTS) or Independent PGCE pathway.
