Magic of Science

230 primary school pupils spent a day with our science department, working on hands-on scientific experiments with Malvern College pupils, science staff and two staff from Warwick University. Each MoS day was rounded off with a practical demonstration and lecture by one of the Warwick academics in the style of the Royal Society Christmas Lectures.

Aims

To excite scientific interest among primary school pupils and give them an extended opportunity of practical/experimental work.

Impact

The MoS days have been run for several years and have strengthened our links with Malvern Parish School, Welland Primary School, Hanley Swan Primary School, the Wells Primary School, the Wyche Primary School, Hollymount Primary School, Our Lady Queen of Peace Primary School and Callow End Primary School. The days are always oversubscribed reflecting the level of interest generated by these scientific outreach days.
