Ursuline Shoebox Appeal
The Ursuline’s Shoebox Appeal has seen members of the Ursuline Community come together to collect Christmas shoeboxes for Samaritan’s Purse, an organisation that works through local churches to proclaim and demonstrate the love of God.
These shoeboxes, which students have filled with a wide variety of gifts (from gloves, tennis balls, shampoo, hairbrushes and more), will be sent to the poorest children within communities in Africa, eastern Europe and central Asia. The shoeboxes help ensure that these children have a gift to open on Christmas morning.
Background
The school has a longstanding commitment to local non-profit organisations and charities such as Samaritan’s Purse. Charity is central to the Ursuline’s Catholic ethos.
