Kindergarten visit to the Beeches Care Home

Our Kindergarten class along with four of our Upper Two pupils were invited to visit our friends at the Beeches Care at both Christmas and Easter.

The children were thrilled to join the residents at the Christmas tree lighting ceremony. It was lovely to be able to perform for the residents and equally wonderful to hear some of the residents singing along and with beaming smiles. We sang some of our favourite Christmas songs and then we were lucky enough to meet Santa who worked his magic and lit the Christmas tree. It was a really wonderful visit for our children to be part of, learning to share the Christmas joy with our local community and also seeing the residents so happy loving every moment. It was a joyful trip for all involved. 

Background

At Easter the children enjoyed taking part in a special Easter egg hunt with the residents and had an opportunity to meet the Easter bunny and chat to residents.
