Striving for excellence in GCSE Drama

The Drama department at the City Of London Freemen’s school partnered up with Carshalton Boys Sports College (CBSC) during 2016/17 to help standardise the coursework components at GCSE.  This partnership was a great success and will continue for the next academic year, expanding into A level too.

Aims

The key aims of the project are to:

  • Support CBSC in achieving outstanding outcomes for their students in Drama and Theatre at KS4 and KS5.
  • Facilitate the delivery of the new specifications at GCSE and A level Drama and Theatre studies.

Freemen’s aim is to provide assistance in standardisation, practical workshops for pupils, and offer consultation regarding the shaping of the new curriculum at A Level and GCSE.
