Love Languages Competition
Pupils from Years 5-8 from state and independent schools around Surrey and Kent, perform in another language in front of a panel of external independent judges.
The event started in 2011 and has taken place every year, with 2021 year celebrating the 10th anniversary!
Aims
The aim is to give pupils a competitive opportunity to perform in a different language, including singing, acting and dancing. The vast majority of language competitions involve writing, rather than performing.
Background
The Love Languages Competition has taken place every year for the past ten years, with anywhere between 10-20 schools taking part.
Resources
The competition takes place in the school theatre.
Pupil Involvement
Due to the range of ages taking part, the competition is are divided into Years 5 and 6, and Years 7 and 8.
Frequency
The competition takes place on an annual basis.
